Introduction

The Browning .50 cal machine gun was originally produced by FN Herstal.

FN Herstal was the first company to propose a Quick Change Barrel (QCB) system thus marking the end of tedious and difficult headspace adjustments.

    The FN QCB system allows the barrel change to be carried out by one person, reduces exposure time to enemy fire and returns the weapon quickly to operational condition after barrel change out.
  • Effect on the Target

    The M2HB-QCB™ is capable of firing explosive incendiary rounds and a full range of ball, tracer, armor piercing and incendiary cartridges.
  • Easy and Quick Conversion of FN M2HB™ Models

    The difference between the FN M2HB™ version and the FN Herstal QCB configuration is relatively small in terms of specific parts. FN M2HB™ machine guns can be converted to QCB versions - by the armorer at customer location in less than 30 minutes per weapon - without complex tools and machines.

      • Heavy fire support for the infantry: mounted on the M3 tripod, to defeat light armored vehicles, bunkers, buildings, etc.
      • Low level air defense: mounted on the M63, to engage low flying aircraft and helicopters
